Pricewar Music signs Sydonia and Ezekiel Ox for Management

In a preview of the massive things to come in 2014 for Brisbane-based Artist Management company Pricewar Music, they have signed two of Melbourne’s most iconic rock artists for management – prog/rock/metal artists Sydonia and divisive, explosive and dynamic all-round artist Ezekiel Ox, (current frontman of The Nerve and Over-Reactor and formerly of Mammal and Full Scale) whose solo endeavours will be managed.

Sydonia and Ezekiel Ox join current Pricewar Music artists The Good Ship, The Blackwater Fever, Storm Chasers and Jackson Dunn.

The signings come at the end of a massive year of growth and expansion for Pricewar Music, which has included owner Tim Price selected for and participating in the AMIN Control program for Australian Artist managers, a trip to Canadian Music Week with The Good Ship, speaking on a BIGSOUND panel, starting PR business Collision Course PR (with clients such as Forever the Optimist, Guards of May, The Wrath, A Direst Desire and Mercury Sky), taking on Beau Jorgensen as a Publicist, a twice-sold out boutique festival based in Central Queensland called El Grande Festival (in conjunction with Nathan Bedford, ex-Epidemic… Over frontman) and artist appearances at festivals such as Festival of the Sun, Woodford Folk Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, a slot at the unfortunately cancelled Harvest Festival, as well as Album, E.P., filmclip and single releases and tours.

Both artists are releasing material in 2014 and are excited with the partnership and joining Pricewar Music to help them release their music and guide their careers. Sydonia’s frontman Dana Roskvist said, “We couldn’t be happier. We have a second album to put out in early 2014 and we have found Pricewar Music to help us going forward.” Ezekiel was positive about increasing the output of his solo project, in addition to his other projects The Nerve and Over-Reactor -” I am over the moon to be working with Pricewar, and look forward to building this facet of my career through 2014 and beyond.”

Sydonia are truly hard to describe. Sonically, they may seem an enigma to the unopened mind, but to an open mind – they are a beautiful pastiche of beautiful melody, primal rhythm, aggressive riffs and wondrous vocals. Sydonia are truly one of Australia’s most progressive and unique rock/metal outfits. Sydonia have toured with some of the world’s greatest rock and metal acts including Korn, Dead Letter Circus and Mammal, and were personally invited to tour throughout Australia with Lamb of God, after lead singer, Randy Blythe heard their debut LP “Given To Destroyers” playing in a record store. The band was also personally invited to open the US tour for Stone Sour, and the Australian tours for Slipknot and Machine Head.

Ezekiel Ox is one of Australia’s most prolific and outspoken career multidisciplinary artists. His exploits are legendary, whispered about and highly-anticipated in the Australian music scene – the once frontman of Full Scale and Mammal now fronts big, badass rock outfit The Nerve with Lucius Borich, Davarj Thomas and Glenn Proudfoot and also 2-Piece Death-Hop crew Over-Reactor with Cory Blight, formerly of Dukes of Windsor. His solo performances are a mix of acoustic songs, loops and beatboxing, spoken word, impromptu and improvised poetry, a capella, dance and cabaret. The set list and the format of the show is never the same. The topics covered are endless and you will never see it coming. Often divisive, Ox is anything but predictable and that makes him one of Australia’s best.

Pricewar Music will look after Sydonia’s management, as well as booking and PR in the interim, while Pricewar will manage Ox’s career and affairs, while Harbour’s Dan Sant looks after bookings and Bird’s Robe Records handle releases.

More announcements about Pricewar’s future endeavours coming soon!
