To our friends, family and fans,
It is with heavy hearts we are saying Farewell to Epidemic… Over.
These final 3 shows with Strangers will be the last and importantly, the 18th May show is in our hometown – Gladstone (Well, most of us live in Boyne Island, but close enough).
Thank you so much for being with us on our journey these past six years. We couldn’t have done it without you. We have not made this decision lightly. We took the long way home and we are at our destination – it has been a wonderful, fun, awesome journey.
We have always said if any one of us lost the desire for this band, then we’d all call it a day on E…O. The four of us are brothers in music and when the feeling isn’t right anymore, we have to honour our friendships more than music.
Epidemic… Over was something we all took part in together. We have done so much together, and if we tried to replace that, it wouldn’t be fair to put anyone in those shoes. To try and replace the friendship and hardships we have had over the years, it just wouldn’t be the same. We are all still very much in love with music; music always has and always will be a main part of our lives in some way or another. But for now, E…O will not continue to create music together in the known form.
What happens from here is anyone’s guess.
We’d like to thank all of you who have been to a show, bought a CD, a skateboard, worn a t-shirt, bought a stubby cooler, put a sticker on their car, sung along at our shows and took a chance on us. If our music ever meant anything to you, even in the smallest moment, E…O is forever grateful to have known you and been there for you. It has meant the world to us to play for you on any stage and be with you for those moments where our music has connected with you.
Thank you to our wonderful partners (Lisa, Tara and Jaz) and families (The Bedfords, The Castles, The Greens and The Rogers), who have supported us 100% on our journey for the past 6 years and missed us while away on tour, but also been there with open arms when we returned. We love you.
Thank you to our team of people who have been there from the beginning, who have given us the hand up over the years and every time we have needed support and creative ideas. Pricey, Mark James, Clint Vincent, Stevie-Leigh Batiste, Thomo, Alex Matheson-Brown, Brian Goodworth, Linda McLeish, Chippy, EK, Beau Sharpe, Jackie Perryer, Stu Niven, Tim Straatmans, MGM Distribution, Pushworth/New World Artists, David Dean, Stewart Mountjoy, Croc and Anne from Central State Fuels, Amber Warhurst, Wade & Owey from Cribhut, Shaun Watson, Doug Goobanko, Sam Van Dyke, Jasper Webb, Tim Williams, Dan Hancock, Jon Tibbits, Matt Raimondo, Rockhampton A-Venue, Mt Morgan, Shay & Sam Mann, Blunt magazine and so many more.
